There is misconception among the people about the term jeans trousers. Generally it is a perception that jeans it self means trousers, however that is not the case word jeans came from a French term bleu de genes and is the word is mainly used for jeans fabric. The jeans trousers are made of denim and denim is not a brand, it is a type of fabric which is used in making jeans trousers. Jeans trousers were originally made for industrial purpose, for workers in factories as the fabric is rugged and durable. This was changed in early 1950s this form of trousers became very popular among the teenagers. Teenagers liked it so much that these jeans trousers worn by factory workers instantly became a trend and fashionable and ever since then they are used in various styles in fashion world by several designers.

Jeans trouser are currently known to everyone all around the globe and all this popularity has just come in fifty years. The reason for its immense popularity and acceptability by the public has no particular reason, it is liked by different people for different reasons. Some like it because it is durable, some takes it as fashion trend, and some just like it. Now rewinding a bit let us know from where did this jeans came in the commercial world, as mentioned earlier its mainly made from denim and this type of fabric was originally found in two places namely France and India and in both the countries used it for different purpose but not as it is used today like a jeans trousers. In today’s world all assume the jeans trousers were used as fashion pants from the beginning but that is not true as mentioned earlier they were made to be worn by factory workers and later on soldiers also wore them in world war two. At that time jeans pant was not in fashion and hence no one has any information of the old days of jeans trousers.

It has been seen that the word jeans has not exactly been misinterpreted but jus refined a bit and now the word has more then one meaning. Jeans can be used for mentioning jeans trousers made from denim fabric, it is also used as the fabric it self and in both the ways it is true. The denim fabric is also known as jeans fabric and jeans trousers can also be referred as just jeans. In fact now saying jeans trousers is confusing because the term trouser is considered for only trousers made of fabrics like cotton, nylon and several other fabrics and this term also means it is a formal trouser worn under shirts and coats for formal occasions or in offices. This is clear that the term jeans trousers are difficult and confusing as now both the term have individual meaning for common man.
